To mark the beginning of Rail Safety Week, the Rail Safe Friendly Programme will hold a networking event for its partners at the Avanti West Coast First Class Lounge in Crewe on Monday, June 16th.
The event will provide a valuable opportunity for partners dedicated to enhancing rail safety to connect and receive updates.
Since launching, the Rail Safe Friendly Programme has made a tremendous impact, reaching an incredible number of young people across the UK – including a remarkable 11,076 schools to date.
Stuart Heaton, Founder of the Rail Safe Friendly Programme, added, “Crewe was chosen as the location for this event because it’s a key hub on the rail network and a community where we’ve seen incredible engagement with our programme. Hosting this event here allows us to celebrate the collective efforts of everyone involved in making rail safer for children in this region.”
David Whitehouse, Safety, Security & Environment Director at Avanti West Coast commented, “This event is a fantastic opportunity to bring partners together to showcase the great work that is being done through the Rail Safe Friendly Programme, as well as discuss how we can continue to make a positive impact to school children.
“We’re particularly pleased to host this during Rail Safety Week, as we’ll be highlighting our commitment to keeping people safe on the railway with activities planned across our west coast route.”
Further communications, including photos and additional details from the day, will be released following the event.
