Fresh off the back of an incredible trip to Glasgow, the Rail Safe Friendly team recently packed up the banners, grabbed the latest safety materials, and headed east to the historic capital for TransCity Rail (TCR) Edinburgh.
As a programme completely dedicated to delivering crucial, life-saving rail safety education to every school across the UK, regional powerhouses like TCR Edinburgh are vital. They give us an invaluable platform to connect directly with the changemakers, innovators, and leaders of the rail industry. Our mission remains simple yet urgent: build the partnerships that help us protect the next generation.
A Room Filled with Shared Purpose
An exhibition is only as vibrant as the people in it, and Edinburgh absolutely delivered. The exhibition floor was buzzing with rail professionals, contractors, and infrastructure experts, all focused on the future of the network, sustainability, and community impact.
For our team, it was the perfect environment to discuss how the industry can bridge the gap between heavy infrastructure and local communities.
Turning Social Value into Real-World Action
Throughout the day, the Rail Safe Friendly team spoke with various industry leaders about a topic high on everyone’s agenda: Social Value. We showcased how simple, effective, and deeply impactful it is for organisations to meet their corporate social responsibility targets by directly supporting rail safety education.
The response was phenomenal. It is incredibly inspiring to see so many companies eager to step up, sponsor local schools, and become official industry partners.
Every single conversation we had in Edinburgh brings us one step closer to securing more school rollouts. For us, that means more classrooms reached, more teachers equipped, and ultimately, more children armed with the knowledge they need to stay safe around the tracks.
